Baby Boy Haynie is almost here!

Here are some pictures of our makeshift nursery. It is set up in the loft but we still think it looks kind of cute. I am glad to at least get this little guys clothes unpacked and into a dresser. He gets to use our old bedroom furniture because we decided it was time to treat ourselves to some new master bedroom furniture! woohoo! 9 more days and counting! I think i am feeling a littel bit more prepared now. Notice the CUTE diaper cake that my friend made for my baby shower. WOW how creative!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
So as the new year approaches there is only one thing on my mind. Eleven more days till baby is due! I would like to be setting some resolutions for the year but right now we are just trying to get organized and ready to bring this baby home when the time comes! Yes, We are still trying to think of a name. No, there is not room in this house for a nursury so I am setting up his crib in the loft. I do feel a little unprepared. Hopefully soon we will be able to sell our home and make our way (with little one in hand) to St. George Utah! It has been our goal for over a year now but the housing slup has made that transition....well should we say....DIFFICULT. But we are so excited to have this new little one join our family(name or not). And we are going to be setting some serious resolutions this year. Especially me due to the fact that this baby is due on Jan 10th and I need to be prepared to go to Maui the 1st of March!! Now THAT is going to take some work!

She likes reading books!

Last week as we drove in the car home one evening Charlie and Brode wer singing a song that we all know well. (As much as we wish that we didn't) "I like big BUMS" (as they were singing it) and I cannot lie." As I was telling them to quit singing that stupid song, I heard a soft voice singing something very sweetly in the back seat. It was my little Peyton who had misunderstood the rediculous words to this song and had modified it just a bit...."I like reading books and I come alive" was her take on it. We laughed and lauged. How sweet and innocent she is! I just had to share that hilarious moment.

Christmas Morning

Peyton got a cool pink kitchen from Santa!
Santa Gave Brode a Nintentdo Wii!
Dishes for the kitchen
Cinderella holding her apricot dolly from Jack and Tyler. Brode's cool helicopter launcher. It goes SUPER high!

We had a great Christmas morning. Now it is time to start thinking about this baby! Less than 2 weeks left.

Three Weeks and Counting

Our BrodeOur Peyton

Our Peyton
Our Brode
I have reached the 37 week mark in this new pregnancy. 37 weeks brings excitement and also frustration for lack of being able to keep clothing in place. Maybe someday there will be a maternity pant that dosen't roll off of a very pregnant tummy! Our dilemma... No name for this little one. Brode came about through an Olympic Skier in 2002 and a friends dog. Both of them were named Bode, not Brode. Although Charlie liked Bode he said the name Brode and the rest is history. I thought Brode was perfect so Charlie's mistake became the name of his first born son. Peyton was named before she was conceived. It's funny but both Charlie and I loved the name which we mostly had heard on a evening time soap. I don't like to claim that she was named after a character on this teen drama in 2005 but the fact is she was! So who will this baby be? Maybe he will come home without an identity. I can't even begin to find a name that seems to suit him. So three weeks left and nameless still.

Santa Claus Came to Castle Rock

Santa came to see us at our ward Christmas party. From the moment we got there Brode begged to see him. He kept asking when he would get there and I kept telling him to be patient. He just couldn't wait! But as soon as we hit the line to see him, Brode would not go in the room! He said he was scared and was close to tears. But Peyton marched right up there and climbed up on his lap and said. " I want a purple video game",which was news to me.

Cookie Monster

Peyton had a great time eating Grandma Freddie's Oreo Cookies! I do beleive she is the messiest kid alive!

St. George Vacation

We had a great time in St. George Utah for thanksgiving. Besides the drive that is! 10 hours is tough when you are 33 weeks pregnant. It was fun to see all of our family and spend time with the cousins. But it is also good to be home! Hannah was kind enough to take some pictures while we were there. it was so cold and windy that we didnt really get any good family shots. You can tell by Brode's face that he is absolutely shivering. Peyton was a trooper though! But we didi manage to get some great shots of the kids! Thanks Hannah!
