Apple of our EYE

Teague with his first IV in his head!
Teague with his second IV in his arm!
Teague and his loving brother and sister
Teague and a tired daddy.Well, we enjoyed our two weeks home with our new little guy but then were sent back to the hospital for his third week of life due to a nasty little eye infection. We were admitted Monday morning and just came home today (Thursday) after a really exhausting few days in the hospital. We are so greatful to be home and greatful that Teague is doing much better. If you are curious why an eye infection sent us to the hospital then read on. We took Teague to the Dr. with a little bit of eye discharge and she told us that it was a clogged tear duct. A couple days later his eye was discharging alot more and was swollen really huge. Our pediatrician sent us right to the hospital as soon as she could find us an open bed. I guess that a small infection in such a little guy can easily turn into a BIG problem if not treated with IV antibiotics. So after two eye cultures, a urine cath and a blood culture came back clear of anything more than a bacterial infection then we were able to go home finally. So now all is well and we are home and happy!

The BEST Big Brother EVER!!

Brode is such a helpful big brother. It is really amazing to see how much he loves and cares for his little Teague. He helps out whenever I need it and constantly askes to hold this little guy. It really is great to have an extra set of arms around to help out!

Getting settled in

Coming home with a new little one is always a crazy process but this little guy has made it a nice smooth transition. Teague is such a sweet addition! He sleeps well and eats well and really only fusses when he needs something. As you can see Brode is an excellent big brother and he just LOVES to hold his baby brother. Even when he is a little tired himself. I just had to laugh when I went over to do some dishes while Brode held him and Peyton laid down for some cartoons. When I walked back over they were all sound asleep. Both Brode and Peyton are enjoying our new little guy and are both very sweet and helpful. What a fun time in our life this is!

Teague the Tiger!

HE is here! Teague Emerson Haynie! At 8 lbs and 10 ounces it was not an easy task but we are glad he is here safe and sound. This big boy is 22 inches long so he definately has the Haynie Height. He was born at 6:28 pm on 1/11/08. He is a happy boy and doing great. Brode is a super good big brother and is very gentle and sweet with him. Peyton is having fun as well just talking to him. Everyone has a cold right now so we are having a tough time keeping the germs at bay but we are doing our best with these silly masks. I am doing great and just sooooo glad to be home and sleeping in my own bed and not having to look at any more doctors and nurses.

DUE DATE!

WEll here I am at my due date and still no baby. But don't worry I have a super flexible Doctor that is going to start induction tommorrow morning. So I guess he will be here sooner than later. I am a little nervous just because Peyton and Charlie have been sick for the past three days. Hopefully by the time I bring the little one home they will have recovered. so we don't have to get this little guy sick. I know that it will be impossible to keep Peyton away because she is such a baby lover. At this point I am really looking forward to being able to bend down to pick up toys and being able to get my church shoes back on my feet. ( My legs have been pretty swollen) I love the part when you get to start getting back to normal! We will keep you posted!
