Panties for Peyt
We had an exciting moment in our home this week when Peyton decided that she would start going in the potty instead of her pants. Peyton is going to be three on April fourth and start preschool this coming year so we are greatful for this accomplishment. She is so good at her new skill that she dosen't even have accidents at night. I am a proud mother with many less diapers to change. Funny, but Brode also potty trained himself one week before his third birthday. I guess if you let them go long enough they do it themself. Peyton just went in the bathroom and went potty and then made her announcement "I went pee pee in the potty"! and since then she has been going without even being asked. Hooray for Peyt and Hooray for me and Charlie for not having to do any of the work!

Cutest kids: By Hannah Stayner

My sister Hannah took these great pics for us while we were out in Utah. I just wanted to show off her work and my cute kids. Unfortuantely Charlie was working that day and wasn't able to join us. I was just gonna have her get the kids but I just thought I would jump in at the last minute. I guess it makes for some fun mommy and kid pictures.

Easter Celebration
We spent Easter afternoon with our dear friends the Wennogle family. We had a great time. We had a turkey dinner, an easter egg hunt on their two acre property kite flying and a lot of fun for the kids just playing together.

Best Brother EVER!!!!
Yesterday afternoon I was in the middle of folding a huge load of laundry. I just really wanted to get it done but I couldn't finish because Teague was being super fussy. So I put a pacifier in his mouth and set him on Brode's lap in the rocking chair. I went on about my laundry putting a few items away in the kids bedrooms and when I returned to my room this is the scene that I beheld. You might have to turn the volume up loud and pause the music at the bottom of our blog to hear this. And if you can't hear Brode is singing a lullaby to his little brother. Teague is very obviously OUT COLD! Brode is the new baby whisperer. (If you are not aware that is what I usually call charlie, due to the fact that he can charm any baby.) Brode really is the best big brother ever!

Back up?
Ok so I was talking about how mischeivous peyton is in my last blog. Todays antics include lotion bing smeared all over her, red fingernail polish on the carpet and finally a mini sleeping beauty doll and a mini polly pocket doll being flushed down the toilet. Does anyone know if this is going to cause a back up. I am talking about a doll the size of my pinky finger and one the size of lets say a hot dog. If you have some expereince or expertise in this area please let me know. I will just die if one day in the near future my toilet backs up and sewage fills my home. haha

We went to the easter egg hunt at the park here in Castle Rock. It was about the lamest egg hunt I have ever attended but I guess the kids had fun. I couldn't even get any good pictures due to the overcrowded mass of people that were absolutely tackling each other to get these eggs! Parents were even grabbing them for their kids! They set out a taped off area for each age group and then spread candy filled eggs throughout it all over the ground and then they say GO. It is a mad dash and lasts about 2 seconds. The kids had more fun on the bouncy slide at the other end of the park. We did get a picture with the easter bunny though so that was a bonus. I dont think we will be going next year.

KOPO
So, there is this cartoon channel ( I can't remember which one) that has a pug puppy named KOPO. KOPO stands for kick one, pick one. Kick a bad habit and pick a good one. I liked this concept so the kids and I are working on kicking some bad habits. I have been shocked with some of the results of my efforts. it is really amazing to me how things that I sometimes feel are out of my control are actually just waiting for me to take control. Who knows if i will suceed in changing habits in my children for a lifetime but I have already changed one of my own. A habit of feeling that there are things I can't change. I am working to remember that I can make my world what I wish.
