8 Years and many more!

On Friday Charlie and I celebrated our anniversary. ( it is actually on the 19th but we waited for Charlie's mom to get in town so she could watch the baby for us. Thanks so much Jackie! It was sooooo nice to get a REAL break!) We went to PF Changs which is one of my favorite restaurants and hung out with some friends and had a great dinner. But today I just wanted to say how lucky I am to have Charlie in my life. We met each other when we were in college and dated for two whole years before I could convince him that he should pop the question. Now I am greatful for the long courtship because it gave me time to finish my degree and find myself a little. We are so blessed to have such a happy and comfortable life together and have three gorgeous kids to show for it! I am so greatful for what a hard worker Charlie is and the great provider he is for our family. I never have to worry about our wellbeing in that aspect. He gives me peace of mind because he always seems to have faith that things will work out. When I freak out because I don't know our exact path in life (I am kind of a freak about organization and knowing what, when, and where) He always says, " IT WILL WORK OUT" and it always does! He has faith that God is guiding him and that he isn't going to let us fail. I am so greatful for that. It helps me to learn to have faith too.

So here is to 8 great years of marriage and many more!

Teague is 4 months

I can't beleive he is getting so big. He now laughs just cause your funny! ( not just cause he is ticklish) He scoots around on his back on the floor, he sleeps through the night, takes great naps and is the sweetest kid I know. He has such a great disposition. We just can't get enough of this boy. His percentile has dropped for weight and height to around 75-80% (from 95-97th) so he is slowing down on the growing but definatley still on the big side.

Happy Birthday Brode!

We celebrated Brode's 6th birthday Saturday (although it is not actually till the 22) He had a great time, got tons of fun stuff and got to take 6 friends to see the Speedracer movie! They were all so excited. Brode is such a great kid. I can't beleive he is growing up so fast.

SO here is a picture of my mothers day present. I got my master bath tiled. I had carpet in there previously. YUCK! I love it and it was a great mothers day gift to have it finished. IT looks really great and this picture dosen't really do it justice. I also got a german chocolate cake, so now I really have to start a diet today! hahaha

What am I tasting?

This morning I decided that I would try to give Teague some rice cereal. He did pretty good considering that he is just going to be 4 months next week. I was thinking that maybe he would need to nurse less if he started to get some other form of nourishment. He is a big boy and needs much sustenance. Brode woke up and came down the stairs while I was making this effort. He said "he is eating?" (laughing) "what is he tasting?" This question is a reflection of what we are struggling through with my biggest boy. Brode has decided that he hates dinner time. He says each day as we sit down to eat "What am I tasting?" "I hate tasting" Brode is what I call a non eater. ( because "picky" would not cut it) Everyday at dinner we have a battle of will trying to make him try something as simple as mashed potatoes. He threw up this week when he had to take a bite. I think I hate "tasting" too!!
