Our Sundays are just total Choas. Do you ever wonder why we are expected to force our children to sit through 3 hours of church? I do! But then I remember how the whole point of us even being on this earth is to perfect ourselves and if
this dosen't teach me some patience then I don't know what will. My sweet children have started this new obsesssion with going to the bathroom or getting a drink of water while we are in church. Thus comes the term that I have entitled this entry. Peyton asks " Mom I need a drink. Can I go to the water mountain?" About 10 times during each sacrament meeting. They have learned now that they can't go anywhere or have any snacks until the sacrament is over so Brode procedes to ask me 50 times. " Are they done yet?" " I'm super, super thirsty!" I have flashbacks to when I was a kid and all six of us would be trying to get out of sacrament, if only for a moment, to walk down the hall to the bathroom. This all got me thinking about the way we learn things as we grow. Our patience develops & our consciousness of others becomes sharper. I always realize how little my children think of others when they step on my feet every time they come up to me to sit on my lap or ask a question. Can you imagine if we did this as adults? ( this also brings back childhood memories of stepping on my parents toes and pulling my mom's hair when we climbed all over her) Isn't it great that we have these years here on earth to learn and grow and develop patience. I hope I have many more years to work on that. Heaven knows I need it!
