Fire Tower Hike

Inside the tower the kids get a pencil and a card saying they have been to the top.

At the top of the stairs is the lookout tower where the firemen can see all directions
The views are incredible

If you look closely at this bush you can see tons of timy orange clusters. No these are not berries! These are LADY BUGS! The kiddos think this is the most amazing part about the fire tower. there are millions of Lady bugs all over at the top of the lookout.

Ready to get going

The Haynie -Wennogle Troops

We took a hike up to the fire tower lookout at devils head with some of our great friends the Wennogles. It is a really nice short hike up to a giant staircase that really brings out my fear of heights. The kids all did great and were amazed by all the sights.

4 Wheelin' in Grand Junction

We spent a couple of days in Grand Junction with Charlie's cousin Eric and his kids. It was alot of fun for the kids and Eric was nice enough to let us use his four wheeler to take the kids for a little ride. As you can see they all loved it and it was almost impossible to get them off. Especially Teague!

Peytons ballet recital

Posing with her flowers!

Running to mommy After the recital was finished.

Taking a bow on stage at the end.

Peyotn had her little dance recital last month. It was soooo cute that I am sad that our grandmas had to miss it. Peyton did great and did everything she was supposed to do...except smile. SHe hada very serious look on her face the whole time. I will post some pics of her in her costume soon.

Brode's 7th Birthday

Teague and dad getting in on the action!

Brode showing us his smooth moves.

For Brode's birthday we celebrated ant our local skate park. The kids all had a blast and the weather was perfect. This was the easiest party i have ever thrown. I think i will make it a tradition to throw parties at the park!

Our basement is officially finished!

Obviously the bar still needs a bar fridge and a faucet. But I still feel like we are finished!
I think Brode's room is so cool. And yes we did all the painting ourselves!

Peytons chabby chic room.

The second bath room

The family room and stairway.

One more shot of the bar. We are soooooo glad to be done with all that hard work. Now we can just sit back and enjoy!

Here are some pictures of our beautiful bathroom that we finished down there. All courtesy of Charlie! What a talented husband I have. This bath connects Peyton and Brode's new rooms. We love having it done!

The adventures of Teague

Just taking the dog for a walk....oh wait I mean the food chopper.
Teague dove head first into a little tent we set up in the house and went straight into the wall.

It looked something like a rug burn. now he has a little scar...but chicks dig scars!

Easter Sunday

Teague didn't like anything about it but the chocolate

Don't mess with the PINK LADY BUTTERFLIES

Peytons very first soccer game was quite the sight. It was freezing outside as it tends to be during spring soccer in Colorado. BUt she was as cute as ever and i think she was the only one who didn't cry even once! Go pink lady butterflies.....GOOOOOOOOAAAL!

A visit from the cousins

The top of "The Rock"
around and around they go.

Hilly and the boys climbed the buffalo

We had a great time with my sister Hillary and her family in town for a few days. Our kids absolutely love each other and played non stop. We had the greatest visit to the best park i know of. It had really fun amazing equiptment and the kids played like crazy. And so did the grown ups! We also hiked the the top of the Castle rock. The kids had a great time and climbed all the way to the top with their dads while the moms waited a little lower down with the babies. Thanks Payne family for coming out to see us!

Peytons "Rock Star" birthday party

Peyton turned 4 this month! She had a really fun birthday party with a bunch of little girls. We made rockstar jewlery and had a custom decorated ( by me) Hannah Montana Rock star cake! They danced and played and had a great time. Peyton is ready to start her rock star career with her Hannah Montana wig!
